I love Lower East Side..

.. and so does Brian Rose ..

.. as I found out at his book signing in Clic gallery. 

Brian, who originally comes from Virginia, is a photographer and musician. 

In 1977 he moved to New York to attend art school, because like he said: New York is a mecca for artist. Then he began to photographed  the Lower East Side of Manhattan and put his artwork in a book called Time and Space on the Lower East Side 1980 + 2010. 

Last Wednesday the book was introduced to public in Clic Bookstore and Gallery where you could let Brian personally to sign it. Many interesting people came in and I imagined what it would be to have my book of great photos.

And because he is a musician aswell, he has friends like Suzanne Vega, who also wrote the foreword of Time and Space.

I asked him what he likes about New York: It´s a big centre of what is going on and different from other cities. I like how it goes from big to small pieces. Every blog is different. You have thousands parts and each is unique.
